Too small for me, but in Gander Mountain this morning, we saw a heck of a deal on a Ocean Kayak Scrambler XT angler kayak (About $270 on clearance). We just couldn't pass on that price. Only one they had.
The worst part is that it will hold my weight (rated for 350) but my legs are far too long for the peg area. My 9 year old (about 5'2" 110) has his feet on the 2nd peg from the end, so I guess these aren't much good for people over 5'10" or so.
The boys can't wait to get out fishing.... Right now, we're going to keep Adam's Pelican 130T tandem kayak as well. My guess is that one will be sold come spring time, and they'll take turns on this one.
Now the question will be how do I get two kayaks up on my elderly expedition at the same time....
Brought it home at about noon... The boys had to get me to try it out on Lake Norman, despide the cold temps today. Why not? That's my 9YO Jacob in the photos... He's starting to get into kayaking and fishing.
Reviews say this is a pretty good kayak (although an older model, must have been in the store for a while). Anyone know anything about it
