Couldn't shake striper fever, so I met Mark again today at Kerr lake. We fished out from the Hwy 15 bridge at Longwood out to the power lines near the mouth of grassy creek. Pretty slow day overall, but we caught a few fish and saw a lot of the lake.
Tables were turned today - I got the catfish and Mark got the striper. I think I did OK though :)

He ain't much, but he's a skunk buster and he ate a big bait!

Here's where it got interesting for me. Big strong fish. I even had a center console stop to root me on while I was fighting him.

His other side, with the bait. He weighed out at 4.9lbs. Really pretty fish - very pale white with pink tinge in the fins. Not the target, but he bent the rod, stretched the line and gave the fighting muscles a workout.
