Hey guys I know a lot of you have probably seen my thread about sunfish species in the Raleigh Area because I'm working on this setup for my tank so I figured I'd make one in the scuttlebutt to show my progression. I made the decision to sell my tropical fish (silver arowana, polypterus delhezi, and a marbled angelfish) to set up a tank like we had when I was a kid. Tank is 48" long x 18" wide and another 24" tall.
Current stock that's here for the foreseeable future is a hand sized bluegill, 3 four inch white perch, and a 5" yellow perch. The bluegill is from Lake Johnson and the 4 perch are from Lake Wheeler. May end up doing away with the white perch but I'm unsure at this point.
This weekend I will be going back home to the Charlotte area where I know where I can get a hold of some nice fish. Will be looking to add some redbreast sunfish and a pumpkinseed to the tank along with a small yellow bullhead and eventually will most likely have a bass for a while.
No Fish used in this tank will be returned to public waters as to not spread any unnatural bacteria or parasites, whenever I break down the tank the fish will be taken to my girlfriend's dad's large koi pond that is currently unstocked. Will get some pictures soon, hope there's some interest for this kind of thread!

Bluegill's eye is a bit cloudy from flopping on the dock and the perch haven't quite opened up yet but with time they will :)
