I need some help, big time

alright guys, time for my yearly plea for saltwater advice (i'm a bumbling bass fisherman from charlotte). I am biting the bullet and not only taking my yak to the salt, but also my tracker bass boat as well. Every time I go to the beach and fish the intracoastal with my yak, I wish i had brought my bass boat to cover more water. I'm going to be in the sunset beach/ocean isle beach area and AM NOT looking for anything huge. I usually fish in the intracoastal with everything from cut shrimp on c-rigs to gulp shrimp on draggin jigs to blades/spoons for blues and flounder. I am wondering what I should be doing this weekend while down there. I probably wont' get out of the waterway, but if there are other options for an aluminum bass boat than that, PLEASE let me know. I have very minimal experience on the salt, usually just in the yak or on the pier. I had tackle for it, but am really interested in fishing artificials and catching salt fish more than using live or cut bait. Any tips, techniques, spots I need to try would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance guys, I leave tomorrow night and stay through Monday so I'll have some time to play around. I plan on putting the boat in at the Ocean Isle ramp, near the Sharky's restaurant. Thanks again.
