Made it down from the mountains to Oak Island late last night and got an early start this morning. The weather looked like it was going to be bad but managed to dodge most of the storm after spending some time on Yaupon reef. Caught 3 nice spanish and decided to head over to Bald Head to get a break from the wind. It was blowing offshore and the water off Bald Head was very protected. Hooked another spanish and four bluefish. Not a bad day considering I was back at the dock by 1:00pm. Fresh fish for dinner!!
I did see either a BIG spanish or a small king chasing bait off Bald Head. Tried pulling pogeys and a small bluefish but they didn't last long due to the blues and/or sharks that kept eating the back half. Lots of bait just between the hot hole and the beach.
