Thank goodness I sold my boat.... now comes the time where I start looking for another one.. I'm looking for a flats boat and had a couple of manufacturers in mind and wanted to see if anyone had any experience. My top "allowance" for this is 20k. I'm a member on microskiff so I'm getting some info from there but not a lot of NC people on there, mostly Floridians(our ocean chop is A LOT different from florida's so called "chop" :rolleyes:).. Here's the list...(in no order)
1. Mitzi skiff (found some nice ones in charleston for about 10k. Could put a lot of care into it, but heard they are kind of tippy)
2. Maverick HPX-V--hard to find and expensive
3. Beavertail--hard to find
4. Hells Bay--hard to find (around here)
5. Ankona Copperhead--this is a real nice boat and I can get a brand new one decked out for 20k, but it's a 5 month wait since they're hand built.
