I joined the forums awhile back and now use them almost daily to check out the blogs and see what everyone's catching here in NC. I feel bad not introducing myself and networking with my fellow fisherman. So here goes...
My name is Justin, im from Greenville NC. Originally from south Florida. Moved to NC about 7 years ago and haven't fished NC as much as i fished in FL. Its a lot different fishing here then in Florida because places to fish are pretty scarce here. Iv fished River Park North and a few spots along the Tar and have just come up with a few small(less then 1 pound) Crappie. Not sure if the spots im fishing have just been over-fished or if im doing something wrong. I was at Town Commons when the fish were flopping on the banks after the last bad hurricane not sure if the populations down around here cause of that, im used to hurricanes, coming from Florida, never had a problem fishing after hurricanes. My go-to lures and baits for freshwater are: Money Minnow swim baits, Beetle spins, spinner baits and buzz baits. I also fish with worms occasionally. Any pointers would be great, my baits and lures worked well in Florida, netting me a 14 pound 3 oz personal record.
Also looking for fishing buddies. New to fishing in Greenville so I don't have many fishing friends here. I dont have a boat so i mostly do bank fishing. Also looking for a good fishing club to join. I was a member of a few with my dad in Florida and love the friendship and networking they promote.
