My son has been down from NJ to play in a golf tournament and get in 1 morning of fishing with me at Jordan. He managed his 2nd PB with a 6#5oz (my hand scales) and we had several in the 2-3 lb range, probably 12-15 total fish in the 4 hours we fished. Perfect morning, cool, light clouds and only a little rain. Caught most of them in 8-12' on green pumpkin trick worms & 3/8 oz football shakey head. Did manage 1 on a chrome lipless crank when a school of 2-3 lb fish jumped a school of shad less than a cast away. Dang fish hung the hooks in the cooler and
they were gone before I could get the bait back out.
Gave him a good break from commuting 40-45 min each way daily to Manhattan plus being husband & father to 2 young girls. Really enjoyed it first time out in about 3 yrs since we were in Tex.
