Shark Fishing With Friends

I met up with my buddies Matt, Cheek, and John to do a little shark fishing after work. The wind was blowing pretty hard out of the north which usually lays the ocean down but not really today. On my first bait out I ran into a rogue 5-6 foot wave and I thought it was gonna be bye-bye Brad but I straight deadliest catched that wave and powered over the top. I ran out Johns 14/0 with a cownose ray, my 9/0 with a chunk of ray, cheeks well technically mine sealine 50 with a chunk of albacore, and matts 9/0 with albacore. The baits sat for a while until Johns 14/0 started to run and off to the dunes he went. The shark let it go but he came back for the bait. After getting hooked up he landed a nice 57" blacktip with something strange in his lip. It was the same blacktip Matt caught last weekend. It was a good afternoon out with friends indeed. Im about beat from getting through the surf. The shorebreak was a killer today. Heres some pics. Brad
