With the new boat ramp now open off Lewis Road, the "Hilltop Grocery" at the corner of Hwy 17 and Sloop Point Road is now carrying ethanol free gas. It is in a new above ground tank at the rear of the property.
When I stopped there earlier this week they were charging $4.45 a gallon which was a $1.10 above mid grade gas at other stations in the area and 60 cents above other non-ethanol gas sold by competitors in the general area (BP in Ogden and Sneads Ferry). So if you need a top off or forgot to fill up, its convenient but you might want to fill up elsewhere and save some money if you can.
They also put in a "twice the ice" machine. 20 pounds in your cooler cost $2 or for the same money you can get a 16 pound bag. Best price around here for ice.
