Matt and I took off to Flat Swamp with Travis this morning, bright and early. Travis' Dad is in Michigan, so I guess I filled his spot today..lol. Anyway, don't care to bass fish three outta a boat, but since it was Father's Day, we decided to get out and fish. On the lake at five thirty, and began with pop rs and buzzbaits. Nothing doin' on top. We started fishing points and laydowns with Yum Dingers and speed craws Texas rigged, and the bite improved. The speed craw was the big winner, we caught 12 of our 16 bass on that bait. No big fish, but three were three pounders, or close to it. The three biggest came on the C RIG Speed Craw. Anyway, the bite slowed after eleven, boat traffic and all, so we vacated the water around one thirty. All in all, not too bad of a day.
(Travis did catch a five pound channel cat on a crankbait, and Matt caught a 13 inch white bass on a fat free shad guppy..)
