I hit Jordan today from 6:30ish to 3:30. The first part of the day was pretty uneventful, one missed strike on top and then I ventured away from the bank. I hit 2 or 3 different brushpiles I found over the winter, they yielded one channel cat around 2 lbs on a c-rig. Around 10:15 I finally boated the first bass, about 13" on a c-rig, not long after I got bit again on the same hump by a 5-6 lb fish. About that time my old man called an said he was at the ramp so I went to pick him up. First cast after he got there, I stuck a 2 lber on a shakeyhead. We hit a few more spots before we finally got around some more fish. I managed to crank up a few 12-15" largemouth, 2 white bass, and a slab crappie. My crankbait bounced off a stump and I was hooked up with something big, after a minute or two wrastling it, it pulled off, I am guessing it was a catfish as it kept digging for the bottom. A few minutes later, I was hooked up to another freight train, alot of drag a few tense moments around the stump row and a big ole mister whiskers (Ok cat guys, what species?) was in the boat. A few casts later I picked up a different crankbait, flung it out there and one smacked it in the first few cranks, around 3.5 or 4 lbs. We hit 2 more spots and picked up 2 more around 2.5 lbs. It was hot and the lake was crowded but we got bit.
