The 25 and under rule for having to go thru boaters Ed is rediculous!!!! I understand that your age may be related to your maturity but it doesn't relate to your intelligence in the least!!!
Winter was great because the mentally challenged hadn't come out to play on the river but now holy cow! I have seen some of the dumbest things imaginable by the MAJORITY of boaters recently.
- no skiiers down flags at all with a diver with a person in the water, and not even waving when I get close to notify me as if I can see his little head poking out of choppy water
- a boat anchored in the channel in NR outside ragged point with 5 swimmers in the water and nobody in the boat on a choppy day
- a FISHERMAN in a Jon boat at sanders creek running his Jon boat out of the channel and passing my boat within 5 feet at full speed and almost breaking my rod when his motor took half my braid and a 10 dollar lure and almost threw me overboard
-people wake boarding in sw creek on multiple occasions running within 15 feet of my boat?!?!?!! What would cause even a non fisherman to choose that over a nice open bay?!?
-people not having a watch and losing a skier in the middle of a heavily trafficked channel but not realizing it for over 4 minutes- thank god I saw the guys head thru the chop and had an air horn to signal the boat
-people wakeboarding in sw creek and when you try to squeeze by after waiting until they weren't slaloming all over the whole creek like a moron they throttle up and run right at you, slaloming, throwing their skier dangerously close to you!!!
What is wrong with people out here!!! How did I get checked the first 9 times I pulled my boat out of the water in nc, but there is nobody patrolling high traffic areas making people not be stupid
And when is the- flare gun shot at your gas tank law going to be passed for these truly ingenious folks
Sorry im getting pretty frustrated, every time I go out either someone runs over my line while I'm well away from the channel clearly fishing and almost launches me off the boat- or someone wakeboards literally in circles around me while I'm fishing- are you serious? I have a bigger boat than most of these morons but I'm not going to pay them back with a suicide run in return favor because I'm not an idiot... Had to do something to calm the nerves haha!
