I have been busy with work, so I am just now getting around to sharing this outting with you guys. Went down to Lake Waccamaw last weekend & took my oldest son on an early morning outing on the lake. (My youngest wanted to sleep in) We were on the water at 6:30 am and things were setting up for a great day, which I was not expecting with all the heat and the water temps at 85 degrees. But Saturday was a bit cooler & overcast and the water was smooth as glass. As soon as we got started, I could see a school hitting on top...we stopped and caught a few, but lost contact with the school and moved on...I stopped at our "new" secret spot and it was not long before we were in the fish & stayed in them all morning. Three hours later we had caught nearly 70 white perch, & that was the ones that had to be unhooked. There were several that fell off at the boat. We did not keep any though, released them all for another day of fun. The best part of the trip though, was my son had a blast and now has the fever. We are hoping to get back down there in August and give them another shot. I know there are not alot of white perch fans on this board, but you got to love catching fish at that pace....Great time, can't quit thinking about it and wanted to share.:)
