I have been surf fishing the point inlet, I have had little sucess catching only 1 blue fish, 1 lizard fish. Then my wife had the good idea of just catching live finger mullets with a cast net.
Using those we started getting much more action, but nothing but little sharks, and then a sandbarshark and it was good fun no doubt.
I want to catch something other than a shark and I am not sure if I am going at the wrong times or what. I usually try to hit low tide in the early morning on saturdays, and I am curious, should i fish the tides, or just fish in the morning? I dunno, it seems that once the boats start going by my fishing is ruined.
Any advice on what fish are around, and what baits I should be using, what time of day should i be going or should I just hit the tides etc. Here is a photo of the shark though (most fun I had in a long time). I am about to just go out at night and try to get huge sharks since it seems to be the only thing biting.Shark.jpg
