I got out for a few hours on Sunday. I fished on the South end of the lake around Muddy creek and the 220 bridge areas. The water temperature has dropped significantly in the past couple weeks. It was 76-77 degrees. The shad are balling up and moving up into creeks and pockets. I caught fish on flukes and brush hawgs. I was most successful with lipless cranks, however. Most of my fish came on points, many of which had only sparse cover but were situated with ready access to deeper water. Any wind blowing on the points was a real plus. Overall the fish were scattered but the overall size of my catch was pretty good. I landed a total of 19 fish with 3 keepers. Several more were near keeper size. Lost one good fish that I never saw. Tight lines.
