SOT Question

I bought my first SOT this summer, a 12' Sport Perception Pescador that has worked out great.

As the weather and water cools down I'm wondering about continuing to use it versus going back to my sit in for the winter. I bought the six scupper plugs I need to plug up the holes. Is it ok just to plug them up and continue to use it? Anything in particular to watch out for?
