I was off work today and I got up at 6:15 and was in the kayak by 6:45. The morning started off real nice with a couple of dink trout and then the wind picked up and not much else happened. Once back at the dock I put out a piece of cutbait while I was loading up the kayak and I picked up a lil pup. Once loaded I dropped off the kayak and hit another spot that I thought would be out of the wind but I was wrong. I hooked up to either a small pup or a nice trout but it spit the hook right by the bank. After losing about a half a dozen jigheads and gulp I was off to my bowfin spot. Once out of the wind I started getting some more steady action. I hooked up on atleast a dozen bowfin but all but three came unhooked. After dark I met up with Matt and JJL out at the creek behind my house and Matt and I both caught a white cat and I also got a small pup. Not much else but eels were biting after that so we called it a day. There was definantly more tricks than treats for me but it was all good. It sure beats working. Brad
