Had the chance to go out this afternoon once again and bring some red xers into my playground,not that they havent been there before but had to show them where to go :)
bigE and daniel (girkman) were in the 4-h club when me and 1 other pulled up and i asked them how it was going?
they replyed they were fishin :) i said ok cool im going catchin hahaha.
i headed for my hole with them not far behind and as they were starting to anchor i had already had a fish on and before they could get right i caught 3 all 16 to 18 inches :eek: then one of my guys started catching his first ever speckaled trout :cool:
bigE and daniel started to catch after the big guy finally decided to get rid of the gulp and tie on a mirror lure in 808 he didnt put the 17 mr on but the 52mr and started to catch with the rest of us,an hour in i had to run back to the ramp and pic up another guy then back to the hole to hope the bite was still on and it was :)
one marine i had out is a recient vet and the other is still an active corpsman whom ive taken out before,we all had a great time despite the heavy winds and cold,we ended our day around 5 pm with a 3 man limit with nothing smaller than 17 and nothing bigger than 19.5 :cool:
i believe the bigE and his bud had there limit as well,we on the revenge by the end of the day had 60+ mostly all keepers and some just under or right on 14.
all trout we caught were on the 17 mr 808 in 3 ft of water,water temps were 53 degrees,as long as the rain isnt heavy tomorrow ill be heading back out with a few more friends to see what we can come up with once again.
oh and before i forget the bigE did catch one trout on the gulp with a cork but that was it lol,thanks for commin along with us and shareing such a good time eric lookin forward to doing it again soon ;)
