Freshwater First Wild Brown!

I got to fish earlier this month with my buddy who introduced me and my sons to trout fishing. He started us off on the Mitchell with a spinning rod where we became hooked on trout fishing. After a year, my then 11 year old son decided he wanted to fly fish and we have been avid fly fishermen since. My friend has been fishing for more than 45 years but had never caught a wild trout on a fly rod. For his 50 birthday and as a thank you for introducing us to trout fishing, I hired a guide and spent a half day on a new stream. We hit a lower elevation blueline that is known for having having some nice browns and rainbows. Two firsts happened on this trip, my buddy caught his first wild trout on a fly rod and I caught my first wild brown! We fished the entire day with a EHC dry and a bead headed pheasant tail dropper. My friend ended up with 4 landed and several missed strikes and is now hooked on fly fishing. He keeps asking when are we going fly fishing again? Great fun had by all!
