Wish I could say the same for my guest. After catching my second of the day, he suggested I change my name from Fish Whisperer to Pickerel Whisperer.

I've caught many pickerel this year, two being trophy sized fish. I caught the big one today twitching a small hard plastic minnow on a shallow sunny bank. I was confident the lure is a 2.5" rebel, but I lost it today, so I can't be certain. What's most troubling is that I can't find the exact lure online.
I caught the other pickerel trolling a rapala rattletrap in baby bass color.
A few small bass were caught as well, but nothing worth photographing. No crappie today. Here's Aki getting familiar with his paddle.
