Good afternoon everyone,
I am excited to say that Jim Dolan, the president of how has gave me his blessing to start up a Fort Bragg chapter of HOW, as many of you know it was previously a split of Cape Fear/Ft. Bragg with the awesome work of Michelle Little and many others. I, still currently serving with the 82nd Airborne, wanted to have a chapter that was unique to Ft. Bragg.
I recentley took control of the 5 kayaks that were being held by Robert Dainton, as well as the paddles, PFDs, etc. After talk to both him and Michelle, both who have been more than supportive of this, and have said to stand by my side as I move this forward with this will still play a big role in a lot of what we do as a chapter. I am not out as they both know to steal thunder, I am wanting to build off what they started and continue to share the passion of kayak angling and getting our Soldiers out on the water
Although there is some more paperwork that needs to be done I am looking for some help with some of the positions needed to get us up and running. For the time being I will serve as the coordinator, but am looking for someone to serve as the assistant, a treasurer and a secretary. As some of you might know this will come with a background check, and some other paperwork to get this started.
I hope to hear from a few of you, The closer you are to Bragg the better.
