Fishing at the Fort in Jan/Feb

Was wondering if anything was going on at the Fort Fisher this time of year. Would like to make a trip to the coast, but not if there is little chance to catch a fish. If nothing is going on at the Fort, does anyone have any other suggestions? Backwater, surf, doesnt matter to me.
