FInally flyfishing salt at Murrells Inlet

I finally have the opportunity to do a little saltwater fly fishing, and I'm new to this so I thought I would ask.
I have the place to fish (wading around Murrells Inlet, SC.) but what about the patterns?
I'll have my 8wt. w/ WF floating line or a 550 sink tip and 16lb. saltwater leaders.
What species should I expect to see this time of year?
What time of day?
