Well despite the impending bad weather we decided to try fishing anyway. When you get a hall pass, you take it...
We were only able to fish a couple hours before we had to call it quits but did manage several bass. Our first spot produced a couple of largemouth in the 2 lb range and missed 2 more. We tried one other hole and pulled out two more, a spot and a LM. I caught mine on a 4" pumpkinseed senko, unweighted, rigged weedless and missed two on a 5" Junebug Berkley shakeyhead worm, on an 1/8 ounce head. My buddy caught his on a 4" pumpkinseed Zoom work, texas-rigged on a 1/0 and a 1/16th bullet weight.
For less than two hours of fishing in awful conditions, not bad.
We saw a number of duck hunters but only heard one shot. Not coincidentally, we saw a few ducks hiding in the coves we fished:-)
Sorry, no pics, it was RAINING the whole time.
