Floated about 7 miles of the watauga river in E Tennessee this past weekend and it was an adventure. Caught all the fish Fri afternoon before the front blew in. Friday wasnt bad 45 out and 40 degree water temp. Very calm and a nice float. Fish were all caught on small rooster tails. Saturday was a different story. Was already there so we decided to go Sat even with the wind and snow. Not a single fish to the boats. We both had 1 come off at the boat. Very few follows all day. When we got dropped at the launch at 10:30 it was 30 out and blowing good. Snowed off and on all day and at some points we were getting blown back up the river against the current. Got worse as the day went on but we survived. Rod eyelets were freezing up and were rods werent working to well. Was quite an adventure Sat but Friwas great. All the trout were at 16" and were released. The last pic is Sat before launch.
