Went to Penny's Bend this afternoon to see if any white bass were being caught. I fished for about 2-1/2 hours without a bite but only saw one small white bass caught. The water is up to the kayak dock and muddy. The other fishermen were very friendly and a few were very generously letting me know what has worked for them. It was evident that they had fished the white bass run for several years. I always seemed to have too much going on to have time to try it, but this year I plan to change that, I'll to be too busy fishing :) from now on. And meeting friendly folks along the river on a nice afternoon just makes the trip even more enjoyable whether I catch anything or not.
