Yesterday morning I went with a buddy over to Umstead and couldn't seem to get the fish to bite much. He was crankin' and throwing a shaky head and I was also crankin' but throwing a jig. I didn't get any hits off a black/blue jig & trailer or a Okochobee brown jig/trailer.
I caught 3 dinks on the day off a Mann's 1-minus (2) and a Bomber 4a (1). I tried deep crankin' for a little while and still couldn't convince 'em. I'd imagine by now the water's getting a little cold for the bass to stay shallow.
