Wylie in the Cuda Yesterday

HAD to take a 1/2 day off yesterday and try out the new Cuda. I really enjoyed it. All except getting my legs burned. After 14 yrs in a SIK my legs had no idea what to do with all that sun! Yak review will come later just want to give a report for all our paddling buds around Charlotte.
In many ways it is just a continuation of Bo's recent report. In short- fish ate really biting at Bobby's on the top end of Wylie. Caught 8 spots all near keeper size- which means 14 in in our lingo.only 1LMB at about 13 in.Every one of this fish put up a fight that makes a 5 Lb largemouth embarrassed. They are definitely bedding and all caught shallow. Most were on a pumpkinseed ribbon tail worm hooked to a 1/8 shakeyhead but toward the end I switched to a green with red flake baby brush hawg and it worked too. Real shallow areas I used the same worm weightless and worked on switched to I'd say plastic is definitely the way to go and in that green range but probably a variety of things that will work.
I think I saw more fish in a day than I ever have.1st 30 min or so I was cruising the bank spotting them then casting to them. One spot had a pair of 3lbrs and at least a 4 locked on it. Just couldn't get them to bite. Left them and saw more. Enough that I decided spotting them wasn't the thing but to just cover water and cast- and it worked.I saw a LMB that I guarantee was over 6lbs. Was standing at the time and almost fell out! Saw bunches of small cats and gizzard shad too.
Plan to tale off about and hour before light sat to get a jump on the powerboaters. Hope to see a group of the Hardcore Brethren out there and we will discuss exactly where then; ) Thanks to Kmbassfisherman for my 1st pic of me in the Cuda.
