Hey everyone, how yall are well. I have fished in the Pamlico area a few times for the last couple years but never had any fish to report! I went to Blounts creek this morning, with the wind blowing making it pretty chilly on the water. I had some luck and finally caught a small striper and two nice sized trout. I was throwing a 1/8 oz red jig with a chartruse curly tail grub. Unfortunately, I lost both of the trout right at the boat!
Besides getting a net, which is on the top of my shopping list now, what would you experienced trout fishermen recommend to try and keep that from happening again? Thanks for all your help!
