Fished Falls from 10am-3pm with my 7 yr old son. Lots of Boats on the water
and Wow the water level is up tremendously. Was 1st Mate to him most
of the day. Slow going until the last hour and a half. Threw everything possible earlier in the
day mainly focusing shallow trying to locate fish moving up but didn't see much and after several
hrs nothing :confused:
Finally decided to slow it down and patiently work a T-rig plastic worm and Creature baits on some laydowns. Paid off and we found a few fish in 6-12 fow out of heavy cover. As always released all to be caught another day.

One cove we were in early my 7yr old saw a floater by the bank and wants to go check it out.
We did and found this beast which looked like it had been out there a while and something
had tried to make a meal of it already. Pic is not great but I leaned in and ran a tape measure
along side and it was 24" solid :eek:, I'd guess it was a 8-9 before it met its maker. Sure would have
like to run into her when she was alive and well.
