Really not a lot to report. Started the morning off a little before Horse Creek, trolling 4 lines. There are fish stacked up in the area of the channel and anywhere the water is 20+ feet deep. Unfortunately, they were not biting for me. These a decent sized marks, not like the shad earlier this year (but maybe they are grown up shad?). I trolled through Horse creek down to where it T's off and a little way toward 98. Somewhere in there I got my lone fish of the day, a white bass about 10" long. Continued to troll all the way down past the dam and back. No more fish, but got several sunken tree bites:mad:.
Water temps upper 60's. Wind more than predicted, but not bad. Skiers/wake boarders pretty minimal, overall I have seen it a lot worse on a pretty weekend.
Bass reports have them in the shallows, which is fine since I was not after them specifically. Anyone catching white bass or perch anymore? Crappie? I saw a lot of smaller aluminum rigs launch out of Upper Bartons today, figured maybe someone had a crappie tournament.
