Not a good day for quantity, but hard to beat it for weight. Both the white bass and the large mouth came out of Horse Creek. The bass was on the edge of the channel and the white bass came off the old road bed hump.
Other than these, I lost a much smaller bass (relative, would have been a keeper) in Horse Creek and a small fish near the bend toward the water intake. Launched about noon and was back by 5:00. Surface water temps about the same as air temps, about 72 degrees and water is high.
About the only other notable factor is that bait is starting to bunch up into dense pods, but very few predators seem to be associated with them. Lots of big bait pods in Horse Creek. Also across from the dam.
