Pond Fat LMB - against the odds

I've been fishing a pond in the north Bragtown area for a number of weeks now. I took Nucanoe2 with me a couple of time. Nucanoe2 caught a baker's dozen the last time we went. He isn't from these parts, but he said that if he was, he'd fish the pond every day. What he said stuck with me.

I have been back to the pond 3 or 4 times since then. We started catching little Johnny's - 1 to 1.5 lbs. But the last few times I went out, the fish have been getting bigger - 2.5, 3.7, 3.9. As the weight has risen, so has my determination to keep going back.

I went yesterday, hooked three, but landed none.

I went today despite the 50 degree weather and 10 mph winds - hooked three and landed three. Nucanoe2 was kicked back in the recliner smiling at the thought of me freezing and getting skunked; that is, until he got the text with a pic of my best, which was just over 6 lbs. The other two are not worth mentioning.

I will be out again after I get off for the Thanksgiving holidays.

Tight lines and happy holiday, Cicada.

P.S. I have a questions for the founding members of this forum. Notice that I am wearing a fleece jacket in the attached photos. I see cats on this forum posting on some chilly days wearing nothing but a tank top and some Daisy Dukes with some nice lunkers. Can this be real? Or are people posting photos from 3 summers ago? If the tank tops and short shorts are the trick, I will get me some and suffer the weather.
