I have noticed that many times when I'm on the site that the visitors that are using the site at that time outnumber the members 4,5, sometimes even 6 to 1. A few years back, I too was a visitor many, many, many times!!! I would take information away with me, never giving anything back to the site and those who had provided the information that I took away. Much of the info that I received was very helpful and beneficial to me and yet I gave nothing back in return, for a looong time.
I had great excuses: I didn't know enough to contribute. I didn't have the level of experience that many of the members had. I didn't have the product knowledge. I didn't own a boat. I didn't fish enough in saltwater. I didn't fish enough in freshwater. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!
Years later, I can tell all of you lurking in the shadows, joining was the best move I could've made! I've now met several of these guys (even fished with them!) that were providing me with this great info and as a result, I've received even more. Even more amazing is the fact that I learned that I did know enough and I had done enough and that I was able to provide info and share my experiences and that doing so was beneficial to others. I have been thanked numerous times for sharing what I have. Ah, the joy of giving!
So, I just wanted to throw this out there as a STRONG invitation to all of you sitting back watching the action to JUMP IN! I didn't truly begin to reap the benefits of this awesome site until I became a member! Being a part of something great doesn't really become great until you make yourself a part of it and make your own contributions. We ALL have something to offer, now let's see what YOU've got!
